Classic Songs

Split Screen Sadness...And I don't know where you went when you left me but Says here in the water you must be gone by now I can tell somehow One hand on the trigger of a telephone Wondering when the call comes Where you say it's alright You got your heart right Maybe I'll sleep inside my coat and Wait on the porch 'til you come back home Oh, right I can't find a flight We share the sadness Split screen sadness Two wrongs make it all alright tonight All you need is love is a lie cause We had love but we still said goodbye Now we're tired, battered fighters And it stings when it's nobody's fault Cause there's nothing to blame at the drop of your name It's only the air you took and the breath you left Maybe I'll sleep inside my coat and Wait on the porch 'til you come back home Oh, right I can't find a flight So I'll check the weather wherever you are Cause I wanna know if you can see the stars tonight It might be my only right We share the sadness Split screen sadness I called Because I just Need to feel you on the line Don't hang up this time And I know it was me who called it over but I still wish you'd fought me 'til your dying day Don't let me get away Cause I can't wait to figure out what's wrong with me So I can say this is the way that I used to be There's no substitute for time Or for the sadness Split screen sadness We share the sadness-John Mayer

------------------ First Cut Is The Deepest...I would have given you all of my heart But there's someone who's torn it apart And he's taken just all that I had But if you want I'll try to love again Baby, I'll try to love again but I know The first cut is the deepest Baby I know the first cut is the deepest But when it comes to being lucky he's cursed When it come to loving me he's worst I still want you by my side Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried And I'm sure going to give you a try And if you want I'll try to love again (tryyy) Baby, I'll try to love again but I know The first cut is the deepest Baby I know the first cut is the deepest But when it comes to being lucky he's cursed When it come to loving me he's worst I still want you by my side Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried But I'm sure gonna give you a try 'Cause if you want I'll try to love again (try to love again) Baby, I'll try to love again but I know The first cut is the deepest Baby I know, the first cut is the deepest When it come to being lucky he's cursed When it come to loving me he's worst The first cut is the deepest baby i know The first cut is the deepest try to love again...-Sheryl Crow

(TWO WORDS...)
BAD. EGGS.

Bob Franklin and Mick Molloy ... how could you go wrong!!

I had no choice but to hear you
You stated your case time and again
I thought about it

You treat me like I'm a princess
I'm not used to liking that
You ask how my day was

You've already won me over in spite of me
Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault

Your love is thick and it swallowed me whole
You're so much braver than I gave you credit for
That's not lip service

You are the bearer of unconditional things
You held your breath and the door for me
Thanks for your patience

You're the best listener that I've ever met
You're my best friend
Best friend with benefits
What took me so long

I've never felt this healthy before
I've never wanted something rational
I am aware now
I am aware now
- Alanis Morissette

Thanks GB

Reno Larson certainly knows how to spot a good piece of ... art! The man has amazing taste and talent.

ich liege bei dir. deine arme
halten mich. deine arme
halten mehr als ich bin.

deine arme halten, was ich bin
wenn ich bei dir liege und
deine arme mich halten.

(BACK 2 ME...)
Just letting you know, I'm now back in the land of the double-headed. I have survived the last 2 weeks on an average of 4 hrs sleep per night, and now feel ready for a holiday.

Started back at work today ... have tomorrow off (yaaaah) by way of an illness that has yet to be determined. I had a fab (yet highly bizarre) few weeks in Melb, with loads of stories to tell ... but was most excited by the football result on Saturday, it was the best live game EVER!

Have pics, not sure what they are of... took them when drunk or something, then emailed them to Fellow Txt Msg Fan. I will be looking over them later this evening. Right now I'm off to entertain guests. Will write semi-detailed account of my holiday sometime soon.

My congratulations go out to
Fred Nile, with one small gesture you have made the world a better place. A truer hero could not be found (did you spot the sarcasm?)

(ONE MORE SLEEP...)
Guess I should explain the audblog post from the other night/early morning. It's actually the original music of Fellow Txt Msg Fan and although the quality is crap and it doesn't show through, he is quite the talented one. I will soon be posting some of his lyrics for the world to read.

I'm off to Melbourne on Wednesday for 2 weeks, and won't have much time to blog. I do however, intend on making plenty of time to indulge my thirst. And, as some of you know all too well, when I drink I tend to talk waaaaay too much ... so it will be at those times ... when I've exhausted those around me with my pointless ramblings, that I will phone up my blog and leave voice posts for all to snigger at.

There is no guarantee that my posts will be anything close to interesting, or that they will even make a whole lot of sense ... but it will be me, live and uncensored - and minus visible typos!

Oh, and thanks in advance for all the glorious flowers and gifts I will be receiving tomorrow! Much appreciated.

AND THE TROPHY FOR "FUCKING IDIOT OF THE WEEK" GOES TO ...

None other than the highly intellectual Mr Wilson Tuckey for making this fine statement .... " Aboriginal culture made it hard for Aboriginal people to administer public monies in the fair and prudential fashion required by Australian taxpayers".

Oh and it gets better ...." The fundamentals of Aboriginal culture creates significant difficulties for Aboriginal people to administer public monies in the fair and prudential fashion required by Australian taxpayers ... Top down funding frequently assists an Aboriginal elite whose social and financial needs can be well satisfied by their own established skill and abilities." What the fuck ...?

The man has such a way with words. I'm stunned, utterly amazed! I cannot speak any longer.

Devoted to Viggo
Second Opinion.. The glow inside another red-crossed pelvis will drain when they crush that little bulb. Menstrual minstrels drift in from the weedless garden. The immaculate blue flame from the fake fireplace burns in the corner of my eye. Can't stop staring at nothing. A gloved hand opens the door, and the man enters soothingly, with an air of respect for the dead. Encourages us to look on the bright side. Black pants hide your pain afterwards, and there's a cookie on a napkin and a paper cup of red juice to replace your strength. We drive home without blinking because the sun isn't real .. . -Viggo Mortensen
